Spring/Summer Makeup

Spring is here and Summer is approaching. So I thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to show you my 'Makeup Picks' for the upcoming season. ps. if this isnt the best qaulity, im sorry! im still trying to sort out my camera so please be patient! I also have upcoming exams this week and have been trying to concentrate on those (and getting distracted obviously) so I apoligize if this isnt great qaulity. Besides, hope you enjoy!

One of my favourite make-uppy things to do in the Spring and Summer is dewy skin. My favourtie thing for this is the 'Wake me up' foundation by Rimmel. This leaves a gorgeous glow to the skin without being to disco ball-like (which has happened to me before-never again). This foundation even has tiny little light reflecting shimmers in that look gorgeous in the light. (dont let this scare you, I promise you wont look like Edward Cullen when you step into the sun!) I have dry and extremely sensitive skin and this foundation doesnt gather in patches at the dry parts of my face throughout the day like other foundations I have tryed  that are directed at dry skin. I have the shade '100 ivory' and it is the perfect colour match for me.

Even though i have dry skin, in the summer months (as everyones does) my skin starts to get a little more oily. One thing that has really been helping my makeup stay on all day and keep my oils at bay has been the 'studio secrets anti redness primer' by L'oreal. This primer doesnt just keep my makeup on it tones down my redness too, which is an added bonus for me as my skin sometimes gets a bit tomato looking if im not careful! (this primer also has a pump to, great for quick and easy application!)

If your like me and you think that blush doesnt really 'suit you' then this one from bare minerals is perfect! This blush is different as it comes in a loose powder form. Yes, loose products are a lot more messier than pressed but this one really doesnt bother me. I like it because its 'looseness' (?) makes the blush a little lest pigmented than a pressed one would be. For me, who doesnt 'suit' blush is perfect, because it just adds a little bit of a flush to my face without making me look like ive went a bit crazy with a highlighter.

Mine is in the colour 'sorbet'.

I dont know about you but in the summer I like to go a little cray cray on my lips. These Revlon 'Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains' are perfect as they give you a little tint of colour without being too sheer, and sometimes a lipstick this bright can be a bit full on and overpowering. I love the 'stick' form that there in too, it makes them so easy to apply even without a mirror (you still have to have the skill mind).

I have the colours (from left) 'Rendezvous' and 'Lovesick'.

This Summer, im trying to go a little out of my comfort zone with my eyes. Which this Urban Decay pallette is perfect for. It has some extreme bright colours in and some neutrals to which is perfect for travelling if your going anywhere on holiday this year (it can obvz be used if your not too!). It also comes with one of there '24/7 glide on eye pencils' in 'zero' (a black) which is amazing too!

Here is some swatches; (from right) 'snatch','milden','flash','painkiller','smog' and 'toasted'.

Heres something a little random. My sunglasses. Thats if we get some sun in the UK, fingers (and toes) crossed! ps. these are from Asos (last year) btw!
